We stole this idea from the Dutch. Or rather we stole it and found another use for it. In Holland, they use it in the crazy flower auctions. They put one specimen of a freshly cut flower in a container. It helps bidders see the variety of flowers in the auction. You can tell if it was cut too early. Or too late. Then the bidding starts at a minimum of 10000 stems. And before you know, everything is sold and loaded onto planes and trucks. It’s practical and straightforward. Just like you’d expect from the Dutch.
