Sometimes it pays to be drunk...
Todd was having dim sum in Chinatown in Toronto at 4:00am, let’s be honest, he’d had a lot to drink. He was looking at all the dishes and realized they would be cool as pots. Sober, he designed 8 of them, made out of porcelain. To date, we’ve done 32 versions, with new ones coming next year. Like we said, sometimes it pays to be drunk.
CHIVES CLASSIC BEST SELLERS
Years ago, we designed 4 lines of pots, in 8 different colors. They were just okay, so we never ran them. One day, we had an idea - we grabbed the best two pieces from each line and placed them together. We loved the vibe. And that’s why we call it 'minute', that's how long it took to produce the best line we've ever made.
People were constantly clamouring about us making white pots. It was very very boring. We don't do boring, so we designed an elegant line of 8 textured pots in white. This year we expanded the line to 6 colors and 2 sizes Since 2018, we’ve shipped out over 250K of these. We’re not surprised. Are you?

Todd used to play D&D with a 20 sided dice. It started his obsession with 6,7,8 sided shapes that click together, which obviously led to Hexi. It’s beautiful, it’s natural, and once you see it, you’ll be obsessed too.
Casey is Chive's third oldest Jedi. She never dreamed of having a pot named after her, and rightly so. It’s hardly an honor. We’ve named pots after Todd’s dog, condo developments, crazy japanese food snacks, and sounds that would be created if you dropped an ikea product into a moulder. After a slow start, Casey now sells well. You could argue this success all comes down to being named Casey. Although, you’d be wrong.
The Ultimate Floral Influencer!
The TikTok sensation that will make you question the meaning of life...and your obsession with displaying flowers in unnecessarily quirky, attention-seeking vessels.
A Modern Bud Vase
Pooley was named after Todd's dog, who was in turn was named after German DJ, Ian Pooley. Since 2010, we’ve made 74 versions, changing up the colours on a regular basis. There are six new flavours on the way for 2024. It’s an all-time favorite because it’s so darn simple, you just need a couple flowers to make it pop.
Kinda perfect if you have a garden....or want to save the stragglers of that too old bouquet. It’s also kinda perfect if you don’t want to clean it very often, but maybe keep that to yourself.
"I purchased the Hudson Flute 24 because my wife enjoys Easter lilies. However, the fragrance drives me crazy and induces sneezing. It was also bothersome not to be able to see and converse with the people sitting across the table from me, because of all those wretched lilies. Good job, all of my senses thank you."
" I was expecting a box of caterpillars to feed my parrot and I got a bulbous "caterpillar" glass vase. Utterly useless. The holes are so small so I can't even use it as a water dish for my dear Charlemagne. Minus 2 stars because I tried to smash it and it bounced off the floor"
