Shido wholesale seeds for resale are vacuum-sealed, non-GMO seed packs designed by Chive Studio, with 173 varieties across flowers, vegetables, herbs, houseplants and fruit & berry. Garden centers and gift shops in the USA and Canada sell them from a metal display rack and reorder by the variety.

Shido is Chive Studio's seed line: 173 varieties of flowers, vegetables, herbs, houseplants and fruit & berry, each packed in a vacuum-sealed packet. Every variety is non-GMO and germination-tested at independent third-party labs before it is packed, and each packet carries a state-mandated three-year viability date. The packets are illustrated in the style of 1910s Japanese woodblock printing, which is why customers collect them as a series.

For a store, the line is built around the rack. The Shido metal display rack has 125 spokes, each holding up to 60 packs, and reorders run 10 packs per variety, so a bestseller can be topped up without reordering the whole rack. Pre-packed 96-piece flower, herb and vegetable assortments are available for stores that want a ready-made start.

Trade pricing is shown after you sign in. Open a trade account with your store name and tax ID number; you'll hear back by email, usually the same day, with your login.

Bulk Seed Packets

The rack is the whole system. Each of its 125 spokes holds up to 60 packs, so one rack puts a wide range in front of customers in a small footprint. When a variety sells down, you reorder 10 packs of that variety and hang them on its spoke. Stores that want to start smaller can open with a 96-piece assortment and add the rack later.

Wholesale Flower Seeds

The flower range is where the woodblock artwork does most of the selling. Flower seed packets bulk-ordered by the variety let a store build a spring wall of colour without committing to a single mix, and wildflower seed packets bulk-ordered in 10s cover the steady demand from customers planting for pollinators.

Exhibiting at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show since 2013; twice awarded the 5-star booth award — only two are given each year. Exhibited at the Philadelphia Flower Show six times, most recently in 2026 after a thirteen-year absence. Chive wholesales to over 6,000 shops and has exhibited at AmericasMart Atlanta since 2004.

Wholesale Seeds for Resale FAQs

How do I buy wholesale seeds for resale from Chive?

Open a trade account with your store name and tax ID number. You'll hear back by email, usually the same day, with your login, and trade pricing, the rack and every variety are visible once you sign in. Chive sells to retailers in the USA and Canada on prepaid or net 30 terms.

What does the Shido display rack hold for bulk seed packets?

The Shido metal display rack has 125 spokes, and each spoke holds up to 60 packs. Packs hang on the spokes face-out, so customers browse by picture and a store can see at a glance which varieties need reordering. Rack kits are listed in the Seed Racks collection in your trade account.

How do reorders work for wholesale seed packets?

Reorders run 10 packs per variety. When a spoke runs low you order 10 more of that variety rather than restocking the whole rack, which keeps bestsellers full without tying up money in slow movers. Orders ship in 2–4 days, and free shipping applies at $500 in the continental USA and Canada (remote areas excluded).

How long do Shido wholesale seed packets stay viable?

Each packet carries a state-mandated three-year viability date, and every packet is vacuum-sealed, which keeps oxygen and moisture away from the seed. For a store, that means unsold packets carry over to the next season. Every variety is also non-GMO and germination-tested at independent third-party labs before packing.

What makes Shido different from other wholesale seeds suppliers?

The packet. Most seed envelopes are plain paper that nobody looks at twice; Shido packets are vacuum-sealed and illustrated in the style of 1910s Japanese woodblock printing, so they sell from across the aisle. Customers buy one for the tomato and come back for the set. The seed inside is non-GMO and germination-tested at independent third-party labs, which is the part that matters in the ground, but the artwork is the part that gets the packet off the spoke.

Can I order wholesale flower seeds and wholesale vegetable seeds separately?

Yes. Every variety is listed individually, so a store can stock only flowers, only vegetables, or any mix, and reorder 10 packs of any single variety. Pre-packed 96-piece flower, herb and vegetable assortments are also available for stores that want a ready-made start.

Do you ship bulk seeds to Canadian garden centers?

Yes. Chive sells to retailers in the USA and Canada, and Canadian orders ship from Toronto. Canadian garden centers order on the same terms as US stores, and free shipping applies at $500 in Canada as well as the continental USA, with remote areas excluded.

How many varieties of wholesale seed packets does Shido carry?

Shido carries 173 varieties across five categories: flowers, vegetables, herbs, houseplants and fruit & berry. Every variety is listed individually in your trade account, and each one reorders in packs of 10. New varieties are added to the range as they are released.
